AE 481W/AE 482 Course Reflection
The senior thesis project is great preparation for entering the world of construction. It helps refine your ability to use construction documents, specifications, etc. to find the information needed. Investigating these materials is the only way to learn about a building. This along with my prior internships gives me confidence in my abilities when required to perform various tasks on a jobsite.
The greatest benefit gained from the senior thesis project is time management. Aside from certain progress checkpoints the only submissions were due dates. This forces the student to use time wisely so all deadlines are met. I knew I could improve in this area and I have in completing the senior thesis project.
CPEP Reflection
Although difficult to get the hang of, the CPEP proved to be a beneficial experience. The program did not always work as intended but overall it eventually became easy to update. It also allowed for those who were interested in my project to view my progress.
